Noboru, who lives at home with his parents, is a wannabe writer who works part-time. He and his best friend used to encourage one another, but this friend dies from an accident. Noboru then takes his friend's younger sister out to a hot spring, which only makes his cowardice apparent. The young man who had been chasing his dream suddenly becomes awakened to "family."
